Barcelonaaaaa!

Zach was having stomach issues this morning, so we were off to a bad start. BUT, it was short-lived! The Barcelona beaches are incredible…. My hot pink swimsuit from Wal-Mart isn’t though (I realized I had forgotten mine when I got to Zach’s house just before we left); it bled all over my dress, my day bag, and even the small spot of sand under me. This was a small thing, though; the beaches really were wonderful. The water is so blue, and the sand looks like gold here—it actually sparkles! I really do think we’d be rich if we started up a gold mine in the ocean or something.

There are certain aspects of the beaches here in Europe that we don’t get to see at the Gulf---a lot of old lady boobies and thongs, and a few hottie boobies and thongs. We had fun people-watching…. Hahahahaha!

After beaching it out, we stopped at a supermarket and got sandwiches with which we were quite dissatisfied. They were a little ham and a little cheese and a lot of ice flakes in-between. We also split some powdered sugar donuts—crazy craving—a bag of chips, and an orange.

Zach and I got in a bit of a fight after tubing over to La Rambla. He wanted to follow some cranes he had seen in the distance, and I needed a plan. Where were we going? What was under the cranes? Were we just aimlessly walking down the streets of Barcelona?

Zach’s hopes of finding some kind of treasure under the cranes came to fruition… there was a beautiful church that he got to walk through—I could not get in because my shoulders were not covered, and I had left my cardigan in the room for the first time this trip! Just my luck!
