Today has been quite a relaxing one. We had no plans, and we decided not to go to the Salt Mines because they were not what we thought they were (seemed to be more of a tourist attraction--no relation to WWII). Zach and I leisurely ate breakfast this morning and hung out with our Sweedish friends and Aussie friend around the hostel. Around 2:00, we went back to the same Polish Grandmother Raspberry's restaurant and had a nice lunch--Zach had roasted dumplings filled with meat, and I had dumplings filled with meat and cabbage. Next, we headed towards the Jewish quarters to find a synagogue. Neither of us had never been in one before, and all I heard all morning was how much Zach wanted to wear a yamaka. On the way back, we stopped by a fruit stand on the side of the road to buy a HUGE bucket of raspberries! They were delicious!

After the raspberries, we both had an irresistable craving for Mrs. Carolyn's chocolate chip cookies. Unfortunately, the market around the corner had NO sign of chocolate chip cookies. The lady who worked there looked at me like I was a loon when I asked where the "chocolate chip biscuits" were.

The next best thing: shortbread cookies with chocolate chip yogurt.... or we thought. It wasn't actually very good, but our makeshift choco chip cookies will tie us over until we go out for kebabs later tonight. :)

Some sweet English gals just checked in, so I am not the only girl in our room! Yay!
Another guy from Buffalo, NY just checked in, also. Haven't met as many backpackers from the US.
