Today was really nice. We bummed around Makuto Hostel for a good bit until we could check in and get settled and such, then we set out for lunch. Zach had a pizza, and I had a "savoury crepe." After walking around the Moroccan strip of shops and buying a few souvenirs for our much loved ones back home, we came back to the hostel for a siesta.
Once we felt re-energized, we went out once again to find some ruins and a lookout point to see all the city. I had to use my Spanish skills much more than I had hoped. "Donde esta...?" Nobody knew where anything was, and we were getting different directions from different people. Perhaps a self-guided tour isn't worth the trouble... especially in the blazing sun. My poor nose is cooked. :(
Zach and I then came back to the hostel--I know this sounds like a lot of walking, but everything is pretty local here--to watch a movie! School of Rock, WITH the Spanish subtitles. We are so cultured! hahahaha
For dinner, we had to try the so very over-rated Spanish tapas. Not all they are cracked up to be. It was nice, though, to sit down in a nice place with a table cloth. Zach got a little overheated during our dinner snacks and had to walk outside in search of a breeze.
We only have about a week left of our trip! London seems so long ago. Home seems so long ago... Miss you. xoxo
